Cape Jaffa Rose

THE INSPIRATION Crafted with finesse and inspired creativity, this elegant and vibrant Rose come from our own Biodynamic Merlot grapes. The result is a tapestry of lively bush berries and delicate white flowers, intricately woven into each sip. 

WINE MAKING This wine is a blend of our two blocks of cool climate Merlot: Block 13 (60%) and Block 9 (40%). Under the moonlight, the grapes are handpicked and gently pressed to extract the purest essence of their fruity flavours from the skins. To add a touch of complexity, 20% of the wine is fermented in seasoned French oak barrels, where daily lees stirring enchances the palate with layers of character. Vegan. 

TASTING NOTES The wine showcases a delicate pink hue and medium body. On the nose, an enchanting floral bouquet of white musk dances harmoniously with the velvety essence of peach and nectarine. Upon savouring, wild strawberries take centre stage, gently transitioning into a delightful pastry note, a result of the sur lie and batonnage techniques employed during winemaking. 

FOOD PAIRING This wine is very versatile, great to be sipped by itself, but great to be paired with cheese platters, pasta, fish-based dishes and our favourite plate, ''crayfish''
